620m shared path along Matsumoto Street and through Reserve 41309 (Haynes Oval Reserve):
The path provides a direct link between Scott Street and Robert Street through to Anne Street, adding to Broome's developing Footpath and Bicycle Network. This will provide the user with links to Broome's town centre and residential areas.

100m shared path along Ashley Street:
This project is a path extension that will link paths along the main sub arterial road, connecting sporting/recreation (Town Oval and the Sport and Recreation Centre) and the childcare centre with the residential and town centre.

 

Shire of Halls Creek

Great Northern Hwy, Halls Creek

107.5m shared path along Great Northern Hwy:
This highway is the major traffic corridor for all traffic between Perth and Darwin and the path will make a safer route for children going to and from school. It will also improve the safety of pedestrians and other path users accessing the town's amenities.

Town of Port Hedland $50,000 Paton Road, South Hedland 892m shared path along Paton Road:
This path will reduce the interaction between pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. It will link existing paths in the area and will be located along a bus route.

440m shared path along Carnarvon Road:
This path will link the established footpath network in the locality of South Carnarvon to Robinson Street, the town's major arterial route. It will also provide a safe link to schools, the town oval and the hospital.

Railway Reserve and Railway Avenue, Carnamah

541m shared path, along Railway Reserve and Railway Avenue:
The path will provide highschool students with safe access to Carnamah District High School along Railway Avenue through the Railway Reserve and joining with existing paths in MacPherson Street. It will complete the path network for the townsite of Carnamah.
 

Shire of Coorow

400m shared path on Morcombe Road:
This project will provide safer access to the Leeman Medical Centre, Police Station and Shire Office/Library. In particular, it will improve access for some Leeman residents who use wheelchairs.

160m shared path between Brand Highway and Glendinning Road:
This path will run along the northern verge of Lockyer Street in Tarcoola Beach, Geraldton. It is an important community project as it will be a vital link between the Brand Highway and Glendinning Road use paths, which are the most popular paths in the Shire of Greenough.

A pathway plan for the townsite of Mullewa:
It is vital that a shared path plan be developed to ensure that future construction of infrastructure and the use of any existing facilities are developed in a coordinated way. This will improve the safety of path users and allow the introduction of programs to encourage locals to improve their physical activity.

415m shared path along Smith Street:
The shared path will provide a safe link to existing shared paths and also form part of the adopted safe routes to school project. The path will provide safe access for pedestrians and others along Smith Street to link up with existing pathways that connect to the school, recreation and central business district of Kalbarri.
 

Shire of Perenjori

650m shared path along Russell Street:
This path will connect existing paths on Timmings, Hesford and Smith Streets. It will provide a pedestrian and bicycle link between the sport and recreation grounds and other town facilities. It will provide an alternative route to and from the retail precinct and primary school, avoiding the main Wubin-Mullewa Road.

Twilight Beach Road (Great Ocean Drive), Esperance

970m shared path along Twilight Beach Road (Great Ocean Drive):
The existing shared path terminates at Fourth Beach number one car park (approx. 2.5km from the surf club), requiring cyclists to use Twilight Beach Road. The undulating nature of the road combined with higher speed limits (70km/h) makes it unsafe for cyclists, especially children. Extending the shared path towards Twilight Beach will improve the safety of people accessing the beach.

The web page will provide continually updated information in relation to paths. Promotion of this resource will help to increase people's physical activity by encouraging them to walk and cycle.

Review the planning for pathways in Cuballing and Popanyinning:
Current plans for pathways will be revisited and communications with the communities of Cuballing and Popanyinning will be re-established to ensure that the planned pathways still meet the needs of today’s residents.

1015m shared path along Goldfields Road, Stewart Street and Maisey Street:
This project will complete the central link along Goldfields Road to the town's eastern boundary. The path will link Stewart Street with the Tin Dog Reserve. It will complete the northern link from the town's pool and recreation area to the new residential subdivision.

 

Town of Narrogin

Jersey Street, Fathom Street, Earl Street, and Williams Road, Narrogin

985m shared path along Jersey Street, Fathom Street, Earl Street, and Williams Road:
Linking the Narrogin Path Network to Saint Matthews Primary School, the Narrogin Regional Recreation Complex and the Central Business District is a high priority for the Town of Narrogin. The primary users of the path will be the high percentage of residents who currently commute by foot or bicycle.
 

Shire of Pingelly

1.17km shared path along Paragon Street, Prestige Street and Stone Street:
This project will vastly improve the routes available for users to access focal points of the town, such as the Town Centre and recreation facilities, as well as providing a safer travel environment along heavy vehicle routes.

845m-shared use path along Connector Path, Duke Street, Clinton Street, Anzac Avenue, car park area, Stirling Terrace and Harper Road:
The path will provide new/complete links between residential areas, the district highschool and the town's facilities. It will provide safe linkages to railway crossings.

This project will provide a safe path for school children to access the Yealering Town and sporting facilities though a designated railway crossing. The project is seen as a priority in the existing Townscape Plan due to the lack of safe paths for use by school children to get to and from the Yealering Primary School.
 

Shire of Wongan-Ballidu

550m of shared paths, along Camm Street and Martin Street:
This project is for the construction of two paths within the Town of Wongan Hills. One path is along the western side of Camm Street and the other path is along the western side of Martin Street. The particular focus of the Shires Path Program this year is servicing the needs of the school and pre-school, kindergarten and day-care children and youth.

The path will lead to the commercial centre of the town from an older residential district of the Boddington Townsite. It will extend from the RSL Hall on the corner of Hotham Avenue to the Boddington Motel on the corner of Bannister-Marradong Road.

2.41km shared path along Fremantle Road, Madora Bay, Lakeland’s Estate, Meadow Springs and San Remo:
The proposed Principal Shared Path has been highlighted in the City's Hierarchy Network Plan as an important link to the City's northern suburbs such as San Remo, Madora Bay, Meadow Springs and the new Lakeland’s Estate.

250m shared path plus two pram ramps on the north side of Banksiadale Road, Dwellingup from Acacia Street to the end of the residential area:
The path is an important part of the existing path network as it joins together two frequently used paths and it will provide local residents with access to the shared path network.

This project will see the construction of a shared path from just west of Panarama Drive, on Mitchell Road south, then east to Preston Drive to link up with the lake walk trail.

1.6km shared path along Caves Road, Siesta Park:
This path will provide a safer route to school and will give the wider community access to the local pre-school and district highschool. The path will also link the wider community to the Recreation Centre, which is currently accessed via the road verge/side by many school children.

The main target groups for whom the Busselton/Dunsborough Map will be produced are local residents of all ages, tourists and day visitors to the shire, cycling clubs/groups and walking clubs/groups.

1.03km shared path along Rutherford Street, Davies Street and Arnott Street:
The Shire has identified this path as a priority as it will provide essential components of the safe route to Manjimup Primary School and Manjimup Senior High School. The proposed path will also provide a link from the school to residential areas and sporting facilities.

200m shared path along North Street:
The path will provide a link between the western side of Nannup and the Community Centre, Recreation Centre and other recreation facilities. This will also provide a safe route to school. In the opposite direction it will provide a link to the CBD, hospital, walk trails and pre-school.

This path will provide for pedestrians and cyclists travelling along Frenchman Bay Road in the locality of Little Grove, to the existing path on Queen Street and Bayview Drive. The project will complete the connection to the Little Grove area.

This path will link the existing path on Hassell Street to the CBD, Shire Office, Town Hall, Library and Pioneer Park. It will also link the Katanning Leisure Centre with the CBD.
