Cycle Instead Bikeweek 2007

Cycle Instead Bikeweek is the State's annual celebration of cycling. It encourages experienced cyclists and novices alike to share the fun and benefits of riding a bike, by participating in a multitude of events over a 10-day period. 

From March 9 to 18, Bikeweek 2007 offered a comprehensive range of community cycling events and activities for all ages and fitness levels, in the metropolitan area and throughout regional Western Australia.

Now in its 22nd year, Bikeweek provided an enjoyable way of involving Western Australians in tackling two of the biggest challenges facing our community: reducing the causes of global warming and countering the growing obesity epidemic.

There were record numbers of participants for both the Members of Parliament Bike Ride and Cycle to School Day.

Bikeweek 2008 has been set for Friday March 7 to Sunday March 16.
