Bicycle parking in the Perth CBD

Need to find bike parking in the Perth CBD? The City of Perth has provided numerous bicycle parking facilities throughout the city centre. A brochure (pdf 120kb) has been prepared showing the location of these facilities.

Bicycle parking at train stations

Transperth welcomes and actively encourages rail users to ride to stations. A range of facilities, all of them free, are available there for riders to park their bikes.

Bike Hubs

Bike Hubs

Bike hubs are secure compounds that are locked to the public between 9am and 3pm. Bike hubs can be found at the following suburban train stations:

  • Armadale

  • Greenwood

  • Murdoch

  • Bull Creek

  • Cockburn

  • Kwinana

  • Wellard

  • Rockingham

  • Warnbro

  • Mandurah

People who wish to use these facilities must also use a good quality lock to secure their bicycles in the compound area.

Bike Lockers

There are approximately 450 bike lockers at suburban railway stations and major bus stations throughout the metropolitan area. Where available lockers have been positioned in areas monitored by surveillance (closed circuit TV).

Bike lockers

Users are required to provide their own lock (D lock or padlock) and observe the Conditions of Use (28kb pdf) that are displayed on alternate doors of each locker set. It is recommended that a top quality padlock that has a hardened steel body and shank be used for security purposes.

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) monitors the level of usage of lockers and regularly moves underutilised lockers to stations where there is a demand for usage. Current locker locations are available by contacting the PTA on (08) 9326 2000.

U - Rails

Over 200 U rails are provided at suburban railway stations and major bus stations throughout the metropolitan area. These facilities are usually located on or near platforms for convenience and security purposes.
Users must provide their own secure locks when using these facilities.
