Rockingham to Perth Bike Route
The “Rockingham to Perth Bike Route” is about 48km long and will take around 5 hours to cycle at a leisurely pace. Much of the route is on a high quality shared path adjacent to the Kwinana Freeway. Route sections between Rockingham and the start of the Freeway path are ‘on road’ with marked sealed shoulders (bike lanes) providing a safe cycling distance from other traffic.
The shared path is mostly edged by maturing trees and bushes providing an attractive corridor to ride through. Many crossings at major roads are through underpasses making your journey safer and more convenient.
The route also provides cyclists with convenient access to many of the Perth to Mandurah Train Stations including Canning Bridge, Bull Creek, Murdoch and Cockburn Central. The Warnbro, Rockingham, Wellard and Kwinana Train Stations are just a short ride from the bike route and surrounding urban areas.
Maps in this publication identify the main bike route described, connecting Perth Bicycle Network bicycle routes (Local Bicycle Routes), suburbs, bike shops, delicatessens, public toilets, parks, recreation areas and other local attractions.
The Rockingham to Perth bike route connects with other popular cycling routes described in brochures including Ride Around the Rivers, Ride from Armadale to Perth, Ride from the City to the Sea and the Perth to Fremantle and Perth to Midland bike routes.
We suggest you plan your cycle trip. Take drinking water, a basic bike repair kit and a mobile phone in case you need assistance.
