Given the advantage of a glorious autumn morning, the Rockingham 'Bite, Bike and Family Ride' was very well supported by approximately 50 people, from children through to active retirees.

The event offered two ride options: A short ride for those who preferred a pleasant four kilometres guided tour along the scenic coastal path system, including Palm Beach; was taken up by 20 participants. The remaining 30 riders participated in the 12 km ride to discover several safe routes between the town centre and the Rockingham rail station. This also enabled them the opportunity to view the new secure bike parking cages that have been provided by the Public Transport Authority. The event concluded with a great morning tea, with Garden Island and Cockburn Sound as a backdrop.

Congratulations go to Catherine Swift, the Rockingham TravelSmart Officer, and her support team for organising and promoting a successful event that was enjoyed by all.
