From 1 July 2009, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure became the Department of Planning and the Department of Transport. State Land Services and Pastoral Leases became part of the Department of Regional Development and Lands.

Mundaring Loop Trail (currently closed until further notice by the Department of Environment and Conservation)

Distance: 16.6 km (1 to 2 hours) return
Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Signage: Silver triangles with blue MTB, also large concrete posts with larger rectangular MTB signs.

Start at the Mundaring Weir Hotel.
Leave the hotel car park and cross over to the car park on the opposite side of the road.
Follow the gravel track to the right of the water pipeline - this is the Kattamorda trail.
The Kattamorda trail follows the road, but a little below it.
