Shire of Broome

Hammersley Street to Town Beach, Broome

This extension of Broome's local path network will provide a direct link from Town Beach to the courthouse in Hammersley Street. The 1020m path will provide an integral link between two major precincts in Broome and provide easy access to other facilities in between, including Roebuck Bay Caravan Park, the Broome Museum, Broome Primary School and the main commercial centre of Chinatown. It will be a strategic link for tourists and the general public and is part of the Shire's five-year plan to improve and develop pathways around the town.

Shire of Wyndham - East Kimberley

Weaber Plain Road, Kununurra

The path being funded will augment an existing path on Weaber Plain Road, and will service both the Kununurra industrial area and the very popular Hidden Valley Caravan Park. Extending the path will not only improve safety, it will also provide a much-needed connection between the Kununurra industrial area and nearby schools, the Kununurra Public Library, shopping centre, leisure centre and major tourist attractions.

Lukis Street and Kingsmill Street, Port Hedland

This grant will assist in the construction of a new 500m section of shared use path along Sutherland Street. This allocation follows an identical allocation in 2002/03 and once completed will reduce the gap in the existing foreshore pathway to 1km. The Town has indicated it plans to provide residents with a safe commuting and recreational link along the Town's foreshore that would be well utilised by local community. The facility will also be used for local sporting events such as triathlons. Currently, competitors are forced to run and cycle along the gravel shoulder or on the carriageway itself on this part of Sutherland Street.

This grant will contribute to the construction of a new shared use path to link Boor Street and the North West Coastal Highway. The path will help address safety concerns for people walking or cycling between Browns Range, Mungullah Village, Kingsford and the town centre.

This grant will contribute to the construction of a new shared use path along Swan Drive between Chapman Road and Swan Drive Beach Carpark

Shire of Greenough

Evans Road, Walkaway

This grant will contribute to the construction of a shared-use path from the Walkaway Primary School to Logue Court, incorporating the Walkaway Store, the Walkaway Tavern, the Walkaway Recreation Centre, Polocross Club and Tennis Club.

Shire of Irwin

Pearce Road, Port Denison and Northshore Dongara

This grant will contribute to the extension of the shared-use paths in Dongara, which will benefit residents and tourists wishing to access the facilities of the Dongara town centre, as well as providing a safe route to school for children accessing the District High School.

Phillip Street, Mingenew

This grant will contribute to the construction of new paths to join the existing network in Mingenew from Southern Bride Street to the footpath in front of the Mingenew Primary School. The project will link the existing footpath network to the school.

Shire of Three Springs

This grant will contribute to the construction of a shared-use path to link the Three Springs Primary School with the High School bus stop, railway crossing and major residential areas of the town. This will also provide access for residents of the newly-established aged care units to the town's main business areas and doctors' surgery.

South West

Shire of Augusta - Margaret River

Augusta, Margaret River

This grant will contribute to the development of a comprehensive plan of the shared-use path system in the Shire in order to identify those areas in need of new pathways to provide safe access for pedestrians and cyclists. The development of such a plan is considered a priority by the Shire to enable it to properly manage and maintain the existing shared-use path network and develop future pathways to serve the community.

City of Bunbury

South Western Highway

This grant will contribute to construction of a shared-use path that would provide access for many school children attending four primary schools in the Glen Iris area. This project forms part of a major east-west shared-use path link and will be a great benefit for cyclists who currently have to cycle on the very busy South Western Highway.

This grant will contribute to the development of a plan of all existing paths in the Shire and a framework for future pathways to link some of the popular destinations within their boundaries.

Stage 1 - Hampton Street, Lockley Street; Stage 2 - Bunbury Street, Hampton Street

Stages One and Two of the proposed shared-use pathway project for Hampton Street are part of a project to eventually complete pathways in a circular network around the Bridgetown town centre. The project has undergone extensive community consultation and the procision of off road cycling infrastructure is a key aspect of improving the safety of Hampton Street.

Atkinson Street, Collie

This grant will contribute to construction of a shared-use path that will provide cycle and pedestrian access along Atkinson Street North in Collie. This path will benefit residents who regularly access the schools and shops at the lower end of Atkinson Street.

Shire of Dardanup

Hale Street, Eaton

This grant will contribute to construction of a shared-use path that will link the Eaton Primary School and Family Centre with the overall path network throughout Eaton. This path will complete the shared-use path network throughout Eaton.

Shire of Manjimup

Latham Avenue, Walpole

This grant will contribute to the construction of a shared-use path within the townsite of Walpole. The path will ensure safe bicycle and pedestrian access between the eastern, western and southern sections of Walpole's residential area, the recreation centre and children's playground facilities.

Shire of Denmark

Ocean Beach Road, Weedon Hill Road to the Ocean Beach carpark

This grant will contribute to construction of a shared-use path from Minsterly Road North to Little River Road. The path will be a major facility linking the Denmark town site and Ocean Beach, one of Denmark's major attractions, and the surrounding coastline. This is the third stage of a larger project linking the Denmark town site to the Ocean Beach and surrounding coastline: the rollout of the first two stages has seen an increase in cyclists and pedestrians who feel safer using the off-road shared-use path.

Shire of Gnowangerup

This grant will contribute to construction of a shared-use path in Richardson Street, Gnowangerup. This project will complete a shared-use pathway link from Gnowangerup High School to the Gnowangerup Sporting Complex, and also provide additional access to the Sporting Complex for pedestrians and wheelchair users.

Shire of Katanning

Katanning

This grant will contribute to the construction of a shared use path connecting Pemble and Blantyre Streets to Clive and Andover Streets in Katanning. This pathway will provide a safer passage for people travelling between the All Ages Playground and the Recreation Centre and will connect to existing pathways that lead to the centre of town as well as the town's Leisure Centre.

This grant will contribute to the construction of two shared-use paths in Taylor and Henry Streets in Tambellup. These roads are frequently used by residents and schoolchildren who walk into town.

This grant will contribute to the extension of a shared use path along Pink Lake Road to Esperance Senior High School. This will provide a safe route for pedestrians and cyclists coming in from the more western areas to access the school, the Esperance town centre and residential areas.

This grant will contribute to a pathway project that will link the existing Gribble Creek cycle path, which meanders through the city, to another pathway network in the Kurkula Bushland Park.

Shire of Laverton

Laverton

This grant will contribute to a project that includes the construction of a shared-use path to provide safer access to the local school for children from Wongatha Wonganarra Community Village. The funds will also be used for work to link existing pathways in the eastern part of the Laverton townsite.

Lesuer Drive from Bluewater Drive to Coubrough Place

This grant will go towards construction of a shared-use path in Jurien Bay. The path will run along Lesuer Drive from Bluewater Drive to Coubrough Place. Lesueur Drive is a main arterial link for people living in the southern sector of the town at each end of the proposed path.

Shire of Lake Grace

Lake Grace Townsite, Bennett St and Griffin Street

This grant will go towards extending a shared-use path that runs from the Lake Grace townsite along Bennett Street and a safe crossing at South Road to the residential development at the town's eastern end. This project will encourage healthier activities, reduce road traffic in the town and provide a safer environment for the community.

Primary Linkage - East and West Narrogin to Recreation Complex and CBD

This grant will contribute to construction of a shared-use path running east-west through Narrogin. This will provide an east-west shared-use path linkage to the Narrogin Regional Recreation Complex and Narrogin's central business district, Gnarojin Park and the eastern part of Narrogin.

Toodyay

This grant will contribute to the development of a bike plan. This will be the Shire of Toodyay's first step towards ensuring all citizens have access to amenities in the community.

Bannister Road, Hotham Avenue, Banksia Terrace, Boddington

This grant will assist in the construction of pathways at Bannister Road, Hotham Avenue and Banksia Crescent to complete a major route on the south side of the town. This work will build on the pathways constructed over the past two years and complete several key linkages around the town.

This grant will contribute to the connection the existing shared-use path at Carcoola in North Pinjarra with the Heritage Trail in Pinjarrra and then extending it to South West Highway.

This grant will go towards construction of a shared-use path to run between Wallace Street and Kennedya Street in Dwellingup. This new shared-use path will join up two existing paths, filling a missing link in Dwellingup's cycle plan.

Preston Beach townsite

This grant will go towards commencement of work on a shared-use path which will eventually link the main residential area of Preston Beach to the beach and general store. The completed network will also make a pleasant circuit walk for residents and holiday makers in the future.
