Herbert Street, Broome

This grant consists of a 1000m pathway along Herbert Street which provides a direct linkage between Scott Street and Robert Street through to Anne Street, adding to Broome's developing Footpath and Bicycle Network. This will provide the user with link's to Broome's town centre and residential areas.

Shire of Derby - West Kimberley

Ashley Street,

This grant consists of a 180m pathway which will extend the pathway along Ashley Street with the two main sporting facilities in the town being the Town Oval and the Sport and Recreation Centre. This pathway also links the sporting facilities with the residential areas and half way along Ashley Street is a child care facility.

This grant consists of a 100m shared use path which connects to the existing pathways on Rowan Street and Mimosa Street, providing a link with the new residential area to the Central Business District.

This grant will provide a 265m shared use pathway completing the School route along Simpson Street and McRae Place, providing added safety for school children and network connectivity.

Shire of East Pilbara $16,150.00 Planning Grant This grant will provide a shared use pathways network for the Newman and Marble Bar Townsites.
Shire of Roebourne $17,500.00 Maitland Road, Bulgarra Karratha This grant will provide 310m of shared use path along Maitland Road in Karratha. This pathway is the final section of a three year project and is from Elliot Way to Mystery Road, which will link the Maitland Road route to the on road facility on Mystery Road and to the back beach dune area.

Shire of Carnarvon

$26,421.00

Carnarvon Road, Carnarvon

This grant will provide a 570m shared use pathway along Carnarvon Road which will link the established footpath network in the locality of South Carnarvon to Robinson Street - the town's major arterial route. It will also provide a safe link to Carnarvon Primary School, St Mary's School and Carnarvon High School along with the town oval, the hospital and businesses.

Shire of Exmouth $41,705.00 Lyons Street, Fyfe Street & Bennett Street, Exmouth This project involves construction of new concrete pathways, along Lyons Street (400m), Fyfe Street (510m) and Bennett Street (200m). The construction of the pathway will connect pedestrian and cycle traffic from an existing terminating dual use path to major facilities in the town including the shopping centre, Exmouth District High School and the Exmouth District Hospital. The footpath proposed for Lyons Street will link elderly pensioners homes with the Hospital.

Shire of Carnamah

MacPherson Street & King Street, Carnamah

This grant will provide a shared use path of 1340m to be constructed on MacPherson Street and King Street. The pathway will provide safe access for Primary and High School children from Carnamah District High School to Niven Park which has a Recreation and Swimming Pool complex.

Main Street, Landor-Meekatharra Road, Meekatharra

This grant will fund two shared use pathway components of the Meekatharra Rangelands Discovery Trail Master Plan. These two projects will provide a 160m metre connection to the Hospital/Aged Persons Home which also links with the 700m (this project 390m) pathway to the Lookout and will be linked to the future stage 2 developments. Not only will the pathway provide the community with opportunities for healthy recreation pursuits, the pathway will facilitate participation and interaction between a diversity of community members.

Shire of Greenough

Planning Grant

The Shire of Greenough and the City of Geraldton is the centre for providing services for the Midwest Region. It has an expanding population in excess of 30,000 people with urbanised population expanding at both Cape Burney and Drummonds Cove. This Planning Grant will provide a Bicycle Plan in regards to it's need to determine bike and pedestrian needs through its CBD Revitalisation and Foreshore redevelopment project.

Sander Street, Tarcoola Beach

This grant will involve the construction of a 230m shared use path from the Brand Highway to Glendinning Road along the southern verge of Sander Street in Tarcoola Beach. The path will also link in with the existing network and form a route to Wandina, Seacrest and eventually into the City of Geraldton. The primary users of this facility will be made up of recreational walkers and cyclists using the Tarcoola Beach dual use path network, and people heading to the beach.

Eastward Road, Rangeway

This grant will provide a 350m shared use pathway along Eastwood Road between Rifle Range Road and the Bundiyarra Centre. This pathway along Eastwood Road will form part of the City of Geraldton's pathway network in the Rangeway locality. This pathway will complete the missing link from the Rangeway locality to the Bundiyarra Centre and a pathway along this section of Eastwood Road will benefit the children, who attend the Rangeway Primary School and also the patrons of the Bundiyarra Centre.

Goldfields-Esperance

Shire of Kalgoorlie/Boulder

$45,454.00

Burt Street, Broadwood

This grant is for a 1830m pathway along the south side of Burt Street which will link the existing shared use path on Gatacre Drive to Gribble Creek bicycle path and Lionel Street shared use path. It will provide access to St Joseph Primary School, Boulder Primary School, Kalgoorlie Accommodation Village, Boulder Rotary Park, Boulder CBD, Diggers Doors Oval and the community skate/bike park.

Shire of Ravensthorpe $25,000.00 Veal St, Barnett St, Spence St, Scott St & Chamber St, Hopetoun This grant will provide a 800m shared use pathway along The Esplanade, which is the main access to the town business centre, town parks, gardens and bus stops. It is also the only access to the beaches east of the Hopetoun Townsite. The shared use pathway will connect to existing shared use paths and will link in the existing heritage trail.

Shire of Brookton

$7,150.00

Brookton Highway, Whittington Street, Brookton

This grant of a 348m pathway will link together two previously completed pathways to form a loop between the Kalkarni Aged Care Residency, the Sporting Oval and the Central Business Precinct. It will provide a safe and accessible shared use pathway for pedestrians, cyclists, gophers and parents with prams for recreational and personal use.

Shire of Kellerberrin $45,788.98 Watts St, Chambers St, Hammond St, Mitchell St & Massingham St - Kellerberrin This grant will provide a 1435m shared use pathway along the eastern end of Kellerberrin, being Chambers Street, Watt Street, a section of Hammond Street, Mitchell Street and Massingham Street. These streets link into Kellerberrin's shopping precinct on Massingham Street which is the name given to Great Eastern Highway where it passes through Kellerberrin. The pathways will encourage children on their way to school to utilise these paths and not put themselves at risk by walking on the road.
Town of Narrogin $27,665.00 Heath St, Homer St, Gray St & Hansard St, Narrogin This 900m grant incorporates a link for a shared pathway connecting West Narrogin with the Senior High School and East Narrogin with the Commercial Centre of Narrogin. This pathway incorporates the Narrogin Senior High School and East Narrogin Primary School "Safe Routes to School" because this section is a major route for students accessing these schools. The schools and residential college will be linked to the existing shared path network that gives access to the Narrogin Central Business District and to the west side of Narrogin through four links. These four links are Herals Street, Railway Footbridge, Doney Street Footbridge and Kipling Street.
Town of Northam $26,500.00 East Street, Town of Northam This grant involves the construction of a 910 metre shared use path to connect with existing paths. The proposed path will link a new sub-division area, Woodley Farm Estate, with the existing footpath network and the town's recreation centre, BMX track and various sports ovals. The Northam Primary School and St Joseph's Primary School are also in the immediate vicinity of the project area and this path will greatly benefit students travelling along this eastern route to school. The level of pathway infrastructure currently in place in the Eastern side of the townsite is limited to Throssell Street and part of Yilgarn Avenue. This project will connect to these existing pathways on the network.
Shire of Williams $1,250.00 Planning Grant This grant will provide a detailed work plan for the next 3-5 years and assist with future planning and funding requests the community may seek to undertake the work. The Shire is keen to see the continued development and eventually establishment of an integrated and well planned shared-use path infrastructure within the town precinct of Williams.
Peel Shire of Boddington $34,570.00 Adam Street, Crossman Road, Hotham Avenue, Mahogany Court, Illyarrie Crescent, Boddington This grant is to construct a further 771 metres of shared use pathway throughout the townsite of Boddington. The section planned for Adam Street will extend the path constructed during 2003/2004 through to the Illyarrie Crescent pathway that runs to the District High School. Crossman Road will complete another section of the link around the town. Crossman Road leads to the centre of the town, where the shops, Post Office, Medical Centre, Bank, Council Office are located. Hotham Avenue leads to the Infant Health Clinic, the Medical Centre, and the CBD through Central Park, which extends from Hotham Ave through to Bannister Road. The right of way from Mahogany Crt to Illyarrie Cres is an access route through to the concrete path that runs to the district High School.
City of Mandurah $9,000.00 Planning Grant This grant will enable the City of Mandurah to undertake a comprehensive bicycle planning study extending to the City boundaries. Due to the New Metro Rail project it is essential that cycling & pedestrian networks leading to the train station are planned early on, so that facilities can be built. This Bike Plan will build on the work done by the City of Mandurah in recent years, resulting in a coordinated and integrated plan including both off road paths and potential on road bicycle routes.
City of Mandurah $21,000.00 Fremantle Road, San Remo/Meadow Springs This grant of 600m of shared use path has been highlighted on the City's hierarchy network plan as an important link to the City's Northern suburbs Sanremo and Madora Bay. Currently there is no link along that part of Fremantle Road and with increasing subdivision development to the North of Mandurah the need for the Shared path will only increase. The majority of the path is located in Public open space with gentle gradients and good connection to existing facilities at either end.
South West

Shire of Augusta - Margaret River

Bussell Highway, Margaret River

This 1000m grant applies to the staged construction of a shared use pathway in Margaret River. The proposed shared use path route will extend from Rosa Brook Road to approximately 600m north of the Margaret River Bridge, the middle portion of this, through the Margaret River CBD is existing infrastructure. The pathway will provide safe continuity and connectivity to schools, the light industrial area, the town centre, the Margaret River centre and the new Agricultural College soon to be opened. It will also connect to the Walcliffe Road/Prevelly & Gnarabup Beach shared use path and the Rails to Trails cycleway between Margaret River and Cowaramup. The path will allow safe access to Rotary Park, which is a major walk trail, recreation area following the Margaret River to 10 Mile Dam.

City of Bunbury

$50,000.00

Bunnin Bvd, Bruce Street, Flynn St & Rodstead St, Sandridge Park

This grant consists of a new shared use path to the suburb of Sandridge Park which will provide access to Bunbury Catholic College from Sandridge Road and Picton Road. The shared use path will be 860m long and will consist of 4 sections over Bunning Boulevard, Bruce Street Flynn Street and Rodstead Street. This pathway will directly link to the path along Sandridge Road and to the newly built Picton Road path which was built under the Country Pathways Grant 2002/03.

Shire of Capel

$14,000.00

Weld Road - Capel; Peppermint Grove & Hardey Terrace - Peppermint Grove Beach; South West Highway - Boyanup; & Hastie Road - Gelorup

This grant of 500m in total will provide four sections of shared use pathways. Weld Road in Capel, forms part of a recreation circuit as well as access to the Primary School network. Along South Western Highway in Boyanup, the pathway will provide access to the CBD and Primary School for residents east of the busy South West Highway. It will also complete the recreational walk loop (connecting to the popular Preston River Gamble). The Peppermint Grove Terrace & Hardley Terrace pathway in Peppermint Grove Beach will see the final stage of pathway complete the entire network along this road. This provides a popular recreation loop through the northern end of the development. Along Hastie Road in Gelorup the pathway was developed from the Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School to the Community Centre (which now contains a Skate park). The new pathway will be constructed to the west to eventually provide a cycle/walk connection to Dalyellup.

Shire of Collie

$30,600.00

Mungalup Road, Collie

This grant involves the construction of a 602m shared use pathway along Mungalup Road from the Central Business District on Throssell Street (highway through Collie) south to the existing network on Crampton Street. The purpose of this shared use pathway is to provide cycle and pedestrian traffic access southwards from the town centre and connect to the existing network in the southern parts of Collie. This pathway will complete a shared use pathway link and connect Mungalup Road to shops along Throssell Street, the railway crossing into the town centre, Wilson Park Primary School, and the Central Business District.

Bobbin Street, Eaton

This grant is for the construction of a shared use path in Bobbin Street, from Hamilton Road to Pratt Road, to complete the pedestrian/cycle link to the Eaton Primary School. This pathway will allow children and pedestrians to walk off the road and it will cater for students attending the Eaton Community College, Eaton Primary School and Glen Huon Primary School.

Shire of Manjimup

$20,000.00

Graphite Road and Finch Street, Manjimup

This grant for a 470m shared use pathway along Graphite Road and Finch Street will link in with the footpath network system located on Graphite Rd at the intersection of Arnott Street and the shared use pathway located on Rutherford Street. Both these facilities link school pedestrians and cyclists from the school area to residential, sporting facilities, CBD and other public facilities. The path would also link the northern and central residential areas and includes a pedestrian route from the schools to the swimming pool, sporting facilities, public facilities and the CBD.

Shire of Nannup $1,750.00 Planning Grant A Five year Bike Plan was prepared for the Shire of Nannup in 1999. This bike plan was implemented by the Council according to their schedule of works and it is now time for the existing plan to be reviewed. The plan is to provide a framework for Council for the planning and development of pathways in the town.

This grant consists of a 1620m shared use pathway along Frenchman Bay Foreshore from Seawolf Road to Woolstores Place as part of a program to provide community access through shared use paths from the Lower King, to Little Grove.

Shire of Cranbrook

$27,500.00

Grenfell, Glover, Dunn & Gordon Streets, Cranbrook

The project is in 3 stages with the first stage being to build a 600m shared use path with the relevant crossovers from the Cranbrook Primary School to the Town Centre. This will inter-connect with the town's Frederick Square Sports Ground and Youth area, (i.e.) playground, skate park, BMX track etc which are currently being developed, as well as with the senior citizen's centre and playgroup centre.

Shire of Denmark

$21,150.00

Inlet Drive, Denmark Town

This 900m shared use path, starts from the CBD and will connect with accesses to Mclean Park and the Recreation Centre, Denmark High School, Denmark Primary School, Mokare Walk Trail, Wilson Inlet Heritage Trail, Bibbulman Track, Karri Walk Trail, Little River Walk Trail, Campbell Road and Ocean Beach Road Shared Use Path's.

Shire of Kojonup $9,725.00 Planning Grant This grant is for the preparation of a local bicycle and walk trail plan. Members of the community on many occasions have expressed the need for upgrading the existing verges dual use pathway status, for use as bicycle and walking trails. The paths that have been prioritised have been identified as strategic routes for access to schools and aged care facilities.
