Perth recreational boating facilities study

From 1 July 2009, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure became the Department of Planning and the Department of Transport. State Land Services and Pastoral Leases became part of the Department of Regional Development and Lands.

The draft Perth Recreational Boating Facilities Study was released by former Planning and Infrastructure Minister, Alannah MacTiernan for public comment (NOW CLOSED).

The Study estimates that by 2025 there will be more than 40 boats per 1000 people in Perth when the number of recreational craft will exceed 80,000.

The Department is reviewing the comments received on the draft Study and is currently preparing the final document.

The Study will provide options and time frames for the establishment of recreational boating facilities in the metropolitan area.
