From 1 July 2009, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure became the Department of Planning and the Department of Transport. State Land Services and Pastoral Leases became part of the Department of Regional Development and Lands.

Welcome to Licensing Services

Licensing Services manages a diverse range of licensing functions - from cars, drivers, motorcycles, mopeds, caravans, trailers, taxis and buses to mobile cranes, earth movers and road trains.

We are also responsible for ensuring the 70,000 new drivers who take to the roads for the first time every year are educated, confident and experienced enough to be safe drivers.

29/06/2009: Increased Demand at Vehicle Examination Centres

Due to the increased market demands in the lead up to the end of the financial year, Licensing Services Vehicle Examination Centres are currently experiencing heavy examination loads which should continue up until the week ending Friday 10 July 2009.

We recommend that you pre-book your vehicle examination at one of the following Vehicle Examination Centres: Warwick, Kelmscott, Midland and East Perth.

To make a booking please call 1300 782 713.

Those wishing to attend the Welshpool and O'Connor Vehicle Examination Centres may experience long queues and delays as they operate on a first-come-first-served basis.
