From 1 July 2009, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure became the Department of Planning and the Department of Transport. State Land Services and Pastoral Leases became part of the Department of Regional Development and Lands.

Vehicle licence transfer: Objection procedures

Where a transferee or licensee considers a market value determined by the Licensing Authority too high, that person may lodge an objection against that value with the Commissioner of State Revenue.

An objection must:-

  • be in writing;

  • state fully the grounds on which the objection is made;

  • include such information as the objector wishes to submit in the support of the objection;

  • be lodged, with the Commissioner of State Revenue at the address indicated below. An objector has 60 days to lodge an objection with the Commissioner from the date on which the Licensing Authority amended the market value;

  • include a copy of the relevant transfer or motor vehicle licence.
