Letter from financier. If there is a financial encumbrance over your taxi-car licence. The letter needs to confirm they have no further interest and no objection to the transfer (please ensure the relevant plate number is quoted). |

Before lodging the application at Passenger Services: |
|
|
|
Proof of stamp duty. Passenger Services cannot accept the application if proof of stamp duty being assessed and paid is not produced. Contact the State Revenue Department, who will advise you of the nearest authorised office at which you can have your application assessed. Telephone: 9262 1100 or 1300 368 364 for country callers. |

|
|
National Police Certificate. Application forms are available from any Police station. ($44.50)
Note: the certificate is not required if you are a current holder of a "T" endorsed licence.

Important: Full payment of balance to the transferor (seller) should not take place until the transfer application is approved by Passenger Services.
Once the transfer is approved in writing, applicants will be advised to forward $162.40 transfer fee and confirmation of payment received to effect the transfer. A transfer certificate will then be issued.

If you are purchasing the plates in the name of a company, trust or deceased estate, please provide the following documentation: |

Memorandum and articles of association or a certified copy. |
|
|
Recent company extract from Australian Securities Commission. |
|
|
National Police Certificate, for each of the company's directors. |
|
|
The company seal (please remember - the company seal must be placed on all documents signed on behalf of the company). |

|
|
|
Trust deed or a certified copy |
|
|
National Police Certificate, for each of the trustees. |
|
|
Note: if the trustee of the trust is a company, all of the documents listed in 1. and 2. above, must be provided. |

3. Deceased Estate |
|
|
Probate documents or a certified copy. |
|
|
Where a taxi plate owner dies intestate, the administrator is required to lodge a Grant of Letters of Administration of the estate or a certified copy. |
